My Trust in Weather Models for the North/Baltic Sea Region For my region along the North and Baltic Seas, I primarily rely on the ICON-D2 model. It offers the highest resolution and is particularly well-suited for local weather conditions—perfect for accurate forecasts along our coasts. If I need to look further ahead or consider areas outside the ICON-D2 coverage, I turn to ICON-EU, which is also highly reliable. An interesting alternative is Meteoblue AI, which performs very well in many situations. However, I still prefer the ICON models as my go-to choice and compare them with Meteoblue AI when needed to get an even better picture. What are your experiences with these models? Are there any others you particularly trust in our region?

Bonjour, Les différences entre les données de prévisions de l'application Android et de la version Web sous Safari (iOS) peuvent s'expliquer par divers facteurs : des horaires de mise à jour différents des modèles météorologiques, des intervalles de prévision divergents (par exemple, toutes les heures dans l'application contre toutes les trois heures sur le site Web) ainsi que des mécanismes de mise en cache des données différents. Les deux plateformes s'appuient en principe sur les mêmes modèles météorologiques sous-jacents, mais des différences de présentation et de mise à jour peuvent entraîner des écarts temporaires. Nous sommes par ailleurs désolés d’apprendre que vous n’êtes pas satisfait de la précision de nos données. Les prévisions générales de température à 2 mètres d’altitude fournies par meteoblue sont établies à l’aide du modèle mLM, qui a été optimisé à partir des données provenant de stations météorologiques proches et adapté à l’altitude ainsi qu’aux caractéristiques topographiques à haute résolution. La valeur affichée sur l’interface utilisateur indique « simplement » la température mesurée. Des écarts considérables, de l’ordre de 5 à 6 °C, peuvent donc survenir entre la valeur mesurée et la prévision, notamment en raison d’un emplacement défavorable des stations météorologiques, de réseaux d’observation incomplets, de distorsions du modèle ou de facteurs microclimatiques locaux. Nous suivons votre signalement depuis hier et pouvons constater qu’il s’agissait dans ce cas d’une erreur temporaire, probablement due à un retard de synchronisation. Comme vous pouvez déjà le constater, la température correcte de 21 °C s’affiche désormais aussi bien sur le site web que dans l’application. Meteoblue s'efforce en permanence d'améliorer la qualité de ses prévisions grâce à de nouvelles sources de données et à des technologies perfectionnées.

Meteoblue Premium Subscription "point+" – rainNOW: Promise vs. Reality I recently subscribed to Meteoblue’s Premium "point+" plan, primarily for the advertised rainNOW feature. According to the description, this nowcasting service should display precipitation in 15-minute intervals for the next 2 hours and the past 4 hours, with updates every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Unfortunately, the reality is different: On the web version, I only see 1 hour and 20 minutes of forecast—not the promised 2 hours. The 4-hour backward view is also missing. This is disappointing, as I was counting on this feature for precise precipitation data to plan my tours along the North and Baltic Seas. Has anyone else experienced this with Meteoblue? Or is there a setting I might have missed? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Comme nous n'avons pas encore tout traduit, certains termes tels que « Forecast » apparaissent pour l'instant en anglais. Pour les alertes météo, la situation est légèrement différente : nous les reprenons telles quelles, telles qu’elles sont diffusées par les services météorologiques nationaux respectifs, sans les traduire. Cela nous permet de garantir qu’aucune information ne soit perdue et que les alertes restent réellement à jour. Nous sommes conscients de ces lacunes dans la traduction et nous nous efforçons en permanence d’y remédier.

Free Weather API is an automated meteoblue product and the easiest way to test the meteoblue weather API. It is available for free for one year, and includes 10 million credits. For historical data, we provide a free access to our unique weather archive through history+ (for up to 3 locations) or with a high discount (for more locations or complex requests) for as long as you are using our standard data without special requirements (this includes and requires correspondence in English). The historical weather data available through the history+ interface are simulation data with high precision (stored forecasts, not measurements). Usually, they are more precise than measurement data from a station more than 10 to 50 km away from the desired location, they will be 100% complete (which very seldom happens for measurements), much more detailed (everything based on hourly intervals), available since 1940 and valid also for places without measurements. Hello, and thank you for your question. The premium subscription you purchased on your iPad is linked to your Apple App Store account and cannot be used on your Android phone. Subscriptions are valid on any device using the same store account but cannot be transferred between iOS and Android platforms. Therefore, to have premium access on both your iPad and Android phone, separate subscriptions are required for each platform. Purchases are managed exclusively by the respective app stores, and meteoblue cannot transfer subscriptions between them.
