  • Road surface temperatur?
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hi Tom,

Good question, and short answer: point+ won't get you there either road surface temperature isn't shown as its own layer or graph anywhere on meteoblue, neither on the free site nor in point+.

We do model related values like soil temperature (top 10 cm) and skin/surface temperature, but right now those live in our professional weather API packages (Agro package, History API) rather than the private website products.

If you just want a rough feel for frost/ice risk for personal use, the Meteogram SNOW (temperature profile + snow cover) combined with hourly air temperature and precipitation type is probably your best bet in point+ not an exact road temp, but a decent proxy.

If you actually need real road surface temperature (e.g. for winter road maintenance or route planning), that's something we offer through our business solutions for Transport & Logistics, with route-based forecasts recalculated roughly every 10 min.

If you have any further questions on this, feel free to open a support ticket with us.

    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello,

We looked into the issue and found that there were brief discrepancies in some of our weather data last night. This likely explains why your daytime and nighttime temperatures were displayed in reverse.
We’re currently investigating the exact cause internally to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
However, the data should have returned to normal by now, so the values should be displayed correctly again.

    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello,

We looked into this and found that there were some discrepancies in some of our weather data last night.
This likely explains the reversed display of day and night temperatures that you described. We’re currently investigating internally to determine the exact cause so that this doesn’t happen again in the future.

In the meantime, however, the data should have returned to normal, so the displayed values should be correct again.

  • Temperature glitch
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello,

We took a closer look at the anomaly you reported and found that there were indeed discrepancies in some of our weather data on the night in question.
This likely explains the reversed or shifted display of day and night temperatures that you described and also why you noticed this issue in several locations around Le Chesnay and Louveciennes.
With a genuine weather phenomenon like an inversion, such a consistent pattern across ten locations would be rather unusual, so we suspect this is more likely a bug.

We’re continuing to investigate internally to determine exactly what triggered this, so that something like this doesn’t happen again in the future.
However, the data should have returned to normal by now, so the displayed values should be accurate again.

If you notice the anomaly again in the coming days, please let us know via a support ticket ideally including the location and time so we can specifically check whether the pattern is recurring.

  • Satellite with radar map
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello Mr. R.,

first of all, thank you very much for your detailed feedback and the screenshots they’re a huge help to us!

We looked into the matter and examined several locations in northern Italy as well as in the central part of the country, comparing them with our radar map.
In doing so, we noticed that other providers (including the radar service of Italy’s Protezione Civile and another external weather service) also showed a noticeably patchy or empty radar image around Genoa during the same time period.
This suggests that it’s not just a display issue on our end, but rather a gap in the raw radar data from our third-party provider unfortunately, this kind of issue affects multiple platforms at once.

We’re continuing to monitor the situation at several locations to see if this was a one-time glitch or if it recurs frequently. Fortunately, the forecast pages themselves are not affected and continue to run normally.

If you notice the empty or missing radar image again in the coming days, please feel free to contact us via a support ticket ideally including the time and location and we’ll look into it specifically.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding, and here’s to continued great weather with meteoblue!

    Hello Frank,

That is indeed unusual, especially since your Premium subscription is already active.
It would be best if we could look into this in detail; to do so, it would be helpful if you could submit a support ticket.
That way, we can investigate the specific cause of the issue and assist you as quickly as possible.
Thank you very much for your patience!

  • Changing order of the favourites possible?
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hi Rob,

Sure, you can do that! On iOS, you can simply press and hold the heart icon of a favorite and then drag it to the desired position and the order is changed.

This feature isn’t available on Android yet.
Until then, here’s a little workaround: Since favorites appear in the order you added them, you can simply delete them and then re-add them in the order you want.

    FAQ

  • Real Time Radar
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello,

thanks for pointing that out – I’m aware of it! It can indeed happen that the radar doesn’t show anything, even though there actually is precipitation.
The radar struggles particularly with snow, drizzle or very light rain, as such precipitation is simply harder to detect.
Sometimes there are also brief glitches in the data feeds; in such cases, the map remains visible but doesn’t show any clouds.
If this happens to you frequently, please do get in touch with Support and,
ideally, let us know exactly when and where you noticed it.

Then we can look into it specifically.

  • No more than 5 warnings despite premium subscription
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hi,

With a Premium subscription, the iOS app should actually allow more than 5 location alerts just like on Android, where you can set up to 10 locations.

If you’re seeing a message saying the limit of 5 has been reached, the app is probably just not recognizing your Premium status correctly right now.
Try tapping “Restore Purchases” in the app settings that will refresh your subscription status.
Also, check to make sure you have the latest version of the app installed; usually, that fixes the issue.

A hard limit of 5 locations for Premium is definitely not intended.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your message. You’re right our satellite service is acting up right now; we’re aware of the issue and are already working hard to get it back up and running.

I understand that this is frustrating for you right now, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience.

    Weather Maps

  • Is it raining or not?
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello.

There’s a technical explanation for this: Radar and satellite systems reach their limits when measuring precipitation, especially with very light rain, drizzle, or snow. Discrepancies can also occur in complex terrain such as valleys, as well as due to interference.
Satellite images also have lower resolution; especially at night or over snow-covered areas, this can lead to inaccurate estimates.
It’s best to check the situation directly on our radar.
It shows the current precipitation situation, updates every 15 minutes, and can even be played back as an animation in 1-minute increments—available worldwide.
Radar stations are usually located on mountains and detect precipitation via reflected waves. This works very well for the current situation and the next two hours.
For longer periods, weather models take over, since radar naturally cannot detect rain that has not yet formed (for example, a thunderstorm that will form later).
For further analysis, you can also use the precipitation map. It shows the 7-day forecast in hourly intervals, with a model selection in the bottom right corner.
You can read more about this here: Technical Limitations – meteoblue
If you’d like, you can also take a look at the measured rainfall stations near you.

This gives you a direct comparison to the actual on-site values: Rainfall Stations – meteoblue

We know that such discrepancies can be frustrating, and we’re constantly working to further improve our data quality, including by using a new radar provider.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you continue to enjoy using meteoblue!

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your message and it’s good to hear that everything is back to normal now!

Unfortunately, these kinds of minor glitches happen from time to time usually only for a short while and then resolve on their own, just as they did for you. We’re sorry that this caused some confusion for a moment.

    Bug Reports

  • Preset for Radar map?
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your kind message we’re truly delighted that you appreciate the app and website so much, and we’d like to welcome you to meteoblue!

Regarding your question: Unfortunately, at this time, the radar map for iOS and macOS does not yet allow you to save a preferred region as the default.
The app always displays the global view first when it launches, which is why you do indeed have to manually switch to the EU view each time.

Of course, this isn’t ideal if, like you, you prefer a specific region.
I’ll be happy to pass your feedback along to our team we keep requests like this in mind when it comes to further developing the app.

  • Traduction des titres sur appli Appel Watch
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Bonjour,

    Translation Issues

  • Cannot rename location (iPhone 8)
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello Laurent Frasnay,

Thank you very much for your feedback on this issue! Normally, renaming a location is as simple as swiping on the location and then tapping the rename icon.

What you described at the time white text on a white background and the missing “OK” button when renaming was definitely not intended behavior of the app.

If you’re still experiencing this issue, the following steps may help:

    • Close the app completely and reopen it
    • Switch to a different location and then switch back
    • Restart your iPhone
    • Delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store (this will also clear the cache and app data, since it’s unfortunately not possible to clear the cache separately on iOS)

Please let us know if the error is still occurring for you or if the problem has since resolved itself.

    Bug Reports

  • Temperature scale adjustment
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello,

We’re glad you asked about the color scale!
Here’s the thing: At meteoblue, it’s based on a combination of historical climate data (specifically, 30 years of weather model simulations), current measurements, and model forecasts.
This scale is fixed and cannot currently be customized or switched in our standard products.

One point that often causes confusion: Even though the temperature maps sometimes show current measurements from the last few hours or days, the same fixed color scale is always used for display so it doesn’t change depending on the time period.

If you have any further questions about this, please feel free to contact us again via a support ticket.

    Your Feedback

  • Delete a location place
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

    Hello,

Deleting locations generally still works as usual after the latest update; the issue you’re experiencing is likely due to a small detail that’s easy to overlook: You can’t delete a location while it’s currently selected.
So, first select a different location before removing the one you want to delete. If the location is also marked as a favorite, you’ll need to remove that mark first.
Here’s exactly how to do it:

    • On Android: Simply swipe left on the favorites list, and the delete option will appear.
    • On iOS: Press and hold the location in the search bar, then tap the trash can icon.

If a location you’ve already deleted reappears, it’s usually due to stored app data or cookies running in the background. In this case, clearing the cache or reinstalling the app usually helps.

Feel free to give this a try, and if it still doesn’t work, please contact us via a support ticket.

    Thank you very much.

  • faulty radar map 2026.06.29.
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

Hello, and thank you very much for your feedback.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with the accuracy of our data. The accuracy of weather forecasts can be influenced by various factors, such as rapidly changing weather conditions, local effects, missing or erroneous observational data, and the limitations of the models.
meteoblue is constantly working to improve forecast quality through new data sources and enhanced technologies; however, temporary or regional inaccuracies may occur, particularly in complex terrain or under rapidly changing conditions.

We hope we’ve answered your question, and we wish you pleasant weather with meteoblue.

    Weather Maps

  • not receiving daily forcasts....why?
    Kevin.KoubinMeteoblueK Kevin.KoubinMeteoblue

Hello, and thank you for your question.

The meteoblue app provides daily weather forecasts; however, the display of detailed forecast data depends on the respective update cycle and is sometimes only available one day in advance. The weather data is updated automatically, but you can also refresh it manually by clicking the arrow icon on the home screen.
If there is no internet connection, the app will display cached data, which may be out of date.
We recommend the following steps if you continue to see only limited forecasts:

    • Check your internet connection.
    • Keep the app up to date.
    • Clear the app’s cache (in your device settings under App Management).
    • If necessary, uninstall and reinstall the app.

We hope we’ve answered your questions and wish you pleasant weather with meteoblue.
