      7-Day Weather

The 7-Day Weather forecast is the meteoblue start page, providing an overview of weather conditions for a chosen location. It also links to more detailed products, settings, and additional tools.

      It visualises:
      • Daily weather forecast overview with pictograms, max/min temperatures, wind, cloud cover, and last update.
      • Additional variables: water temperature (for coastal/offshore areas), air pressure, hourly temperatures, wind direction and gusts.
      • Satellite cloud cover animations showing high, low, and convective clouds.
      • Radar and precipitation nowcasts (last 3h + up to 2h forecast for Switzerland and USA).
      • meteoblue maps: interactive wind animations and heat maps.
      • Ski resort information: slopes, open runs, lifts, snow maps, and links to resort websites.

      How it works

      • Global Location Search (top bar) allows quick access to any place worldwide.
      • Daily forecast overview is based on meteoblue weather models with up to 50 atmospheric layers and resolutions from 25 km down to 700 m.
      • Satellite cloud cover uses infrared telemetry to estimate cloud temperatures.
      • Precipitation radar is colour-coded from light blue (weak) to purple (intense).
      • Wind streamlines are animated on top of wind or temperature maps at selectable altitudes.
      • Heat maps highlight urban heat islands for planning and adaptation.
      • Ski data is updated continuously and combines snow meteograms with infrastructure information.

      Limitations

      • Low clouds and fog may be difficult to distinguish in satellite imagery.
      • Radar may not detect drizzle or light snowfall.
      • Radar coverage is currently limited to Switzerland and USA.
      • Local variations (terrain, microclimate) may differ from model forecasts.

      Best use cases

      • Quick overview of weather conditions at your location.
      • Exploring detailed weather products directly from the start page.
      • Tracking short-term cloud, radar, and precipitation changes.
      • Using interactive maps for wind and urban heat analysis.
      • Checking nearby ski resorts with weather-based updates.

      Access

Available free of charge on the meteoblue website. Additional features can be unlocked with a point+ subscription or via meteoblue API.

        Meteogram All-in-One

The Meteogram All-in-One provides a local weather forecast in an all-in-one view with pictograms, tables, and spot diagrams. Two formats are available:
        • Day overview – summary of the entire forecast period.
        • Detail overview – 3–6 hourly development over part or all of the forecast period.

        It visualises:
        • Weather conditions through pictograms.
        • Temperature at 2 m above ground (daily max/min or hourly values).
        • Feels-like temperature, adjusted for wind and humidity.
        • Wind speed and direction at 10 m, including gusts.
        • Precipitation totals (daily or hourly) with probability.
        • Sunshine hours compared to total day length.
        • Predictability index (very high → very low).
        • RainSPOT diagram showing precipitation intensity and coverage nearby.
        • Sun & Moon data: sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, UV index, moon phase, air pressure, and time zone.

        How it works

        • Daily max temperature usually occurs in the late afternoon; minimum in the late night.
        • Wind arrows indicate the direction the wind is blowing to (not from).
        • Hourly wind direction is given as azimuth degrees (0°–360°).
        • Precipitation behaves like a rain gauge: “5 mm at 12:00” means from 11:00–12:00.
        • Predictability decreases as the forecast period extends further into the future.

        Limitations

        • Local variations (e.g. showers, wind gusts) may not be fully resolved.
        • Feels-like temperature depends on multiple factors and may differ from personal perception.
        • Predictability is an index, not an absolute measure of accuracy.

        Best use cases

        • Quick overview of daily conditions at your location.
        • Hourly planning for outdoor activities or travel.
        • Tracking sun, moon, and UV conditions.
        • Monitoring short-term weather changes with added detail.

        Access

Available with a point+ subscription on the meteoblue website or via the meteoblue API.
