Meteogram Snow
Meteogram Snow is a 7-day forecast diagram showing snow conditions for a selected area. It visualises:
• Hourly temperature at various altitudes, with the bold black curve marking the freezing level.
• Precipitation type: blue = rain, grey = snow, shown per hour.
• Snow melt over time.
• Average snow depth in the surrounding area. How it works
• Represents conditions for a grid cell, not an exact location.
• Displayed elevation is the average of that grid cell.
• Time axis uses local time valid when the forecast is created.Limitations
• Local snow conditions can differ greatly over short distances.
• Not suitable as a replacement for on-site measurements or for critical risk assessment.Best use cases
• Short-term activity planning in snowy areas.
• Monitoring regional snow trends.
• Tracking seasonal accumulation and melt patterns.Access:
