Greetings to all. Using a Firefox browser on my Android phone while Consulting forecast for Cambridge Massachusetts, I got a frozen screen with a big red alert ringing loudly telling me there had been a fraud on my Amazon account and that I must click the dial button; my phone was completely Frozen until I did so. I found this suspicious and immediately shut down my phone and restarted.

        Hello,

        Thank you for your feedback.

The alert you saw was most likely caused by a third-party advertisement. Unfortunately, we don’t control the ads shown on our website, and sometimes misleading ads can appear and look like real system warnings.

Restarting your device was a good first step. If it happens again, you could also try clearing your browser cache and cookies or using a different browser.

We report suspicious ads to the advertising providers, but unfortunately we cannot remove them ourselves.

I hope this helps and that you won’t have any further issues.
