RRFS and REFS feeds are now on NOMADS

After being delayed several times, the RRFS and REFS are finally on NOMADS in the parallel feed as of August 12, 2026 with the 12 UTC run. Hopefully, there will be no more delays and will be on track for the full October 6, 2026 release, and retirement of the NAM, SREF, HREF and HiresW (excluding the Guam domain).

We are working on the implementation and adding the models to our system. However, a full integration will take time as a certain historic period is required for our machine learning to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the new models in order to consider them properly in the consensus forecast. However the display of just raw model output in maps and multimodel diagrams will be released much earlier as that is a much easier thing to do.
