Subject: Request for Correction of India's Political Boundaries on Weather Maps

Dear Meteoblue Team,

I would like to bring to your attention an issue regarding the representation of India's political boundaries on the map displayed on your weather platform.

The current map appears to depict the political boundaries of India inaccurately and does not align with the official map recognized by the Government of India. As maps are sensitive and important geographic references, accurate representation of internationally and nationally recognized boundaries is essential for users.

I kindly request that Meteoblue either:

Update the map to reflect the official political boundaries of India as per the Government of India's approved cartographic representation, or
Remove the political boundary layer entirely if maintaining country-specific boundary representations presents challenges.

Ensuring accurate and neutral cartographic representation will help avoid confusion among users and maintain confidence in the platform's geographic information.

We understand your concern regarding the representation of boundaries in this region. As a weather service, we do not determine political boundaries or territorial claims.

Our maps are intended to display weather information rather than express a view on territorial disputes. We use boundary data from the OpenStreetMap project, which is maintained by its global community and follows its own mapping conventions rather than the official cartography of any single country. As a result, our maps may differ from those published by the Government of India or other national authorities.
